139th Silver Spurs Rodeo Teams with Free School’s Out Blow Out June 2-3, 2017

Silver Spurs Rodeo at Silver Spurs Arena

The Silver Spurs Rodeo is a family tradition in Kissimmee, and it returns to the Silver Spurs Arena for its 139th edition the weekend of June 2-3, 2017.

Silver Spurs Rodeo is the largest rodeo east of the Mississippi, and is the work of the Silver Spurs Riding Club, an all-volunteer organization started in 1941 by Osceola County ranchers. They began the rodeo in 1944, selling war bonds as admission to raise funds for our military.

The rodeo is still going strong, and offers competitions of various talents, including Bull Riding, Bronc Riding, Barrel Racing, Steer Wrestling, and Team Roping, with real rodeo cowboys and cowgirls competing for an entire year of bragging rights, and prize money.

In between these events, you’ll also see acts throughout the night from the rodeo clown, as well as witness a performance from the Silver Spurs Quadrille Team.

3rd Annual School’s Out Blow Out

As a bonus, the Silver Spurs Riding Club is partnering up with the Osceola County School District to host the annual School’s Out Blowout celebration, kicking off the first weekend of summer. It will feature bounce houses, inflatable games, face painting, and more.

This two-night event is completely free and will take place two hours before each rodeo’s performance at Osceola Heritage Park, which includes the Silver Spurs Arena.

Tickets

Tickets to the Silver Spurs Rodeo are $15 per person, with kids 10 and under free. Such a deal for families!
