Velvet Sessions at the Hard Rock Hotel Presents Soul Asylum October 29

Every month, except November and December, the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando hosts a live concert called Velvet Sessions. It’s a 21 and over event that features classic rock and pop artists performing in an intimate club-like atmosphere.

Soul Asylum

This month, Soul Asylum will be performing on Thursday, October 29. The band formed in Minneapolis, MN, in the early 80s, but hit it big in 1992 with the album Grave Dancers Union, which had the Grammy Award-winning single, “Runaway Train.”

Soul Asylum is currently going the indie route and releasing their album, Change of Fortune, themselves via PledgeMusic.com. As little as $10 can get you a download of the new release at that link, when it’s released in 2016.

Tickets for Velvet Sessions are $29 in advance online or $35 at the door. This not only gets you in the door, but free specialty drinks, finger foods and warm-up tunes from 6:30 pm until show time. Complimentary valet parking is also included. Visit velvetsessions.com to purchase tickets.

For $50, you can upgrade to VIP, which in addition to the above perks, gives you access to a special viewing area with a private bar serving those free specialty drinks all night.

After the show, a DJ plays tunes until 1am.

Visit velvetsessions.com for more information or to purchase tickets.
