Eat and Drink Pink During October in Orlando For Breast Cancer Research

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this month, several Orlando-area restaurants are promoting “pink” menu items to create awareness and raise funds for research.

Bento Café - pink roll

At Bento Café, you can choose to make any of their sushi rolls pink for an extra dollar. They will use a pink soy paper, and all proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. They have several Central Florida locations including downtown Orlando, Dr. Phillips, and UCF.

Dragonfly Robata Grill & Sushi - Pink Soldier sushi

Dragonfly Robata Grill & Sushi in Dr Phillips is offering the “Pink Soldier,” a twist on menu favorite Godzilla. This special sushi roll features smoked eel, snow crab, cream cheese, cucumber, scallions, avocado, strawberry and eel sauce. For every $13 Pink Soldier sold, $2 will be donated to the Pink Army at Florida Hospital.

Osprey Tavern - Florida Thyme

The Osprey Tavern in Baldwin Park has created the Florida Thyme cocktail, featuring Chopin vodka, Cointreau, lime, thyme-lavender syrup, and Peychaud’s Bitters. Proceeds from the drink will benefit the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation.

Tapa Toro - pink water

Both Taverna Opa at Pointe Orlando and Tapa Toro at I-Drive 360 in Orlando will be offering pink water for purchase for $1 a glass. Beets are used to produce the pink hue naturally, and the money raised will go to the Pink Army, as well.

Tin Roof Orlando - Big Pink Drink
Tin Roof Orlando at I-Drive 360 is offering up a Big Pink Drink for the month of October. One dollar from every glass sold will go to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Metro Orlando.

The Sweet Shop at 4 Rivers Smokehouse - Pink Pomegranate Cupcake

The Sweet Shop at 4 Rivers Smokehouse will be offering the Pink Velvet Pomegranate cupcake for $3.75, and all proceeds will be donated to the Pink Army. There are several locations in Central Florida.
